Mipro in InnoTrans 2026

InnoTrans is getting closer and this year there is even more reason to look forward to Berlin. The world’s leading international trade fair for transport technology celebrates its 30th anniversary and Mipro will once again be part of it. 

Plenty has been happening in railways since the last InnoTrans. At Mipro, our teams are currently working on major railway and metro modernisation projects where new technologies are being introduced into safety-critical operating environments. 

In Finland’s Digirail programme, work on the EKA project is taking ERTMS and EULYNX-based signalling from specifications towards practical implementation. Mipro’s delivery brings together a SIL 4 Object Controller System, CTC and standardised interfaces as part of a multi-vendor signalling architecture. 

Meanwhile, the Helsinki metro signalling environment is entering its next phase of development. New automatic train control and train detection technologies are being integrated with the existing Mipro interlocking system, enabling the network to evolve progressively while maintaining the safety-critical core already in operation. 

Different projects and different operating environments, but many of the questions are the same. How can existing infrastructure evolve alongside new technology? How can standardised interfaces enable flexible multi-vendor architectures? And how can major system changes be introduced in a controlled way while keeping railways and metros operating safely? 

These are exactly the conversations we look forward to continuing in Berlin. 

InnoTrans 2026 takes place at Messe Berlin from 22 to 25 September. The exhibition is open from 09:00 to 18:00 from Tuesday to Thursday and from 09:00 to 16:00 on Friday.
