Switching to CO2-free electricity is a concrete action that supports climate goals. In energy co-operation with Lumme Energia, the green electricity delivered to Mipro Oy’s head office in Mikkeli is certified Nordic hydropower.
Mipro has been selected in an open tender as the safety equipment provider for the FTIA’s Joensuu marshalling yard improvement project. The contract is worth EUR 7.4 million. The new safety equipment includes, among other things, the replacement of the marshalling yard interlocking system with a new one.
Fintraffic Raide Oy and Mipro Oy have signed an agreement to provide maintenance and support services for traffic control systems. The agreement aims to ensure the right measures to secure the systems’ functionalities and quick and effective solutions during disruptions.
Mipro provides the United Nations with an annual Corporate Responsibility report concerning our relevant actions and goals. Our report describes how we have in practice integrated the Global Compact programme and its principles into our business strategy, company culture and daily operations.
The most important Mipro commitment is to deliver safety systems, both for railways and for water and energy industries. Functional safety is part of overall safety and it depends on the correct operation of a system, hardware or software.
The following appointments have taken effect in Mipro Oy
Mipro’s year 2021 began in full swing when DNV conducted our periodic audit on the 12-15 January 2021. This year, it was decided to extend the normally three-day evaluation as four days, as we have made significant updates to our quality management system during the year. This one extra day was therefore dedicated to going through the system.

The Helsinki Metro interlocking and ATS delivered by Mipro has passed the availability and reliability demonstration period and received final approval from The Customer. The final approval now granted concerns the original Helsinki metro section (East of Ruoholahti).
Mipro has successfully renewed the existing signalling system at the Kotka marshalling yard. The project, which began in 2018, was completed in November 2020 and fully covered the modernization of Hovinsaari and Asema traffic locations.
